Mindfulness for You

If you have ever experienced the FUD’s in your life: Fear, Uncertaincty, Doubt, then welcome, you are human. Life is all about ups and downs, and hopefully a fair few level patches occasionally, but where we may fall victim to circumstances we may too fall under the weight of our attachment to our experiences. as Rumi put it: “This being human is a guest house, every morning a new arrival, a joy, a depression a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.”

Our experiences are the stuff of life and if we try to avoid, ignore or hide from them then we will become unstuck and will begin to experience increasing levels of various forms of distress: stress, anxiety, pain, panic, depression. when i teach my Mindfulness groups in the MBSR courses, i talk about the human condition being in three parts, in other words our experiences in life are threefiold and they are simply our Thoughts, Feelings and Senses.

Through more awareness of this human triad we may be able to be with them as they areĀ  and we may be able to be with the ups and downs in a better, more flexible way.

This is the way of the Mindful Warrior. Mindfulness is Awareness. By learning the simple yet life-changing skills of Mindfulness you will begin to navigate lifes journeys in a different way. Dont take my word for it: try it and see.
